Suraj is a voice over artiste with the ability to effortlessly transition between roles requiring a traditional Hindi voice to urban contemporary sound to those that specify the voice of character or project requirements. He has a unique way of breathing life into the voice making it exciting and interesting.
Suraj Kurup’s voice is extremely conversational, casual with a perfect amount of authoritative and persuasive tinge to it. Having a versatile voice has made him a perfect fit for VOs for commercials, corporate films, movie dubbings, radio ads, documentaries etc.
Generous and flexible by nature, driven by an unquenchable thirst to ideate, perform and deliver, Suraj continues to pursue excellence in the voice industry. He has always displayed an exceptional ability to work well with brands and individuals at all organizational levels and is one of a selected few voice artists that people look up to in the voice community.
Professional Expertise
With more than 15 years of experience into voice acting, training and storytelling, Suraj Kurup has lent his voice for a number of renowned brands like National Geographic, Discovery, Coca Cola and many more. One of his notable works include Hollywood film dub of 300 Part 2, where he dubbed for the protagonist’s character.
He began his career with radio broadcasting industry at Radio Mirchi, Ahmedabad where he aced several profiles at once - a professional presenter, copywriter, proof-reader, programme writer, on-air host, on-ground anchor for various events, interviewer and handled many more things. As an RJ at Radio City, Ahmedabad, he hosted, produced and scripted several famous on-air shows like ‘The Radio City Breakfast Show’, ‘The Sunday Breakfast Mornings’ and ‘Whattefun Weekends.’ He is widely known as ISROs ‘Nationally Known Super A Artist’ in their voice artiste panel. He was chosen to solely record several notable documentaries in the last 14 years.
Apart from this, Suraj is a certified instructor and healer too and holds sessions for Yoga, meditation, Marma therapy and Tibetian singing bowl therapy as well. With so many feathers in his cap, Suraj continues to learn new art forms to widen his horizons and give back to the society.
